GCC SERVICE DESK FUNCTIONALITY & SERVICES | Incident management & proactive incident resolution through the GCC Service Desk. Support hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18.00. | |||
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION ON USERS | Multi-factor authentication (MFA) acts as an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorised users from accessing applications & accounts, even when the password has been stolen. | |||
SELF SERVICE PASSWORD RESET PORTAL | This portal allows users to change their passwords in the cloud. Note: MFA must be switched on for all users within the M365 portal to use this feature. | |||
WINDOWS DEFENDER PROTECTION | This security feature prevents and detects attacks on your local machine and regularly updates the definitions of the endpoint manager locally. | |||
WINDOWS PATCH MANAGEMENT | Address vulnerabilities and Windows updates through the deployment of this security feature. Deployed via the M365 portal – this feature is a vital component in an organisation’s security operations. | |||
BASE SECURITY POLICIES APPLIED | GCC apply a number of alerts and policies to improve the security of your M365 portal, for example monitoring any forwarding rules added on an individual mailbox. | |||
ENABLE M365 AUDITING | This feature allows GCC to review activities on the M365 portal and create an audit report. | |||
DISK ENCRYPTION (BIT LOCKER) | Windows bit locker is used to encrypt the local hard disk and store the encryption key centrally within the Microsoft Endpoint protection manager portal. |
ENHANCED EMAIL PROTECTION | This feature provides additional email protection, via the Microsoft 365 and policies for scanning attachments and URL’s. | ||
EMAIL ARCHIVE & RETENTION | Emails are archived within M365, and a two-year retention rule is applied to all mailboxes, to move emails from the individual users’ inboxes after 2 years. | ||
WEB BROWSING CONTENT FILTERING | Enables your organisation to track and regulate access to websites based on their content categories. Many of these websites (even if they’re not malicious) might be problematic because of compliance regulations, bandwidth usage or other concerns. | ||
AUTOMATIC AI-BASED THREAT DETECTION & REMEDIATION MNGT | This provides advanced attack detection that is near real-time and actionable. When a threat is detected, alerts are created, and tickets are raised to investigate. | ||
MICROSOFT SCORE – SECURITY REVIEW | GCC will review the Microsoft Secure Score recommendations and either take action or update the customer with steps required to improve the organisations security posture. Following the recommendations from Microsoft can protect an organisation from threat. | ||
DATA LOSS PROTECTION (STANDARD UK POLICIES) | Detects potential data breaches or data ex-filtration transmissions and prevents them by monitoring, detecting, and blocking sensitive data while in M365. If any email, document, spreadsheet contains specified data, they will be blocked from sending. GCC will apply the standard UK policies to block the following: credit card numbers, SWIFT code, EU debit card numbers, National Insurance numbers, National health service numbers. |
DOCUMENT LABELLING | Enable end users to “label’ documents or emails. Documents can be labelled as: ‘Internal’ – documents will be unreadable by anyone outside the organisation. ‘Public‘ – everyone can read. ‘Confidential‘- individual people are specified to read the document or e-mail. | |||||
CONDITIONAL ACCESS | Access policies, based on ‘if-then’ statements. If a user wants to access a resource, then they must complete an action. | |||||

Using Microsoft threat intelligence, breach likelihood predictions, business contexts, and device assessments – continuously monitor the biggest vulnerabilities on your most critical assets. This portal also provides security recommendations to mitigate risk. |
